Michael is captured performing “Man In The Mirror” during the second part of his Bad tour. But the heart of the video is footage of historic events in escalating intensity of violence and despair, leading up to a nuclear explosion at the point where the key of the song changes, followed by footage expressing hope and peace.

The song itself is one of Jackson’s most critically acclaimed. The song was the fourth consecutive #1 hit off the Bad album.

Little known fact: Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s brother, mentioned the song during the television show Celebrity Big Brother 2007. Jermaine invoked the song title when housemates were bullying one member.
