The tone of the song is similar to “Man the Mirror” in that it contains the message that people should strive to right the wrongs in the world.

The video does not feature Michael but does have many shots of people throughout the world holding hands.

At the time of its release, rumors persisted Michael was unhappy with the budget Sony allotted to the work. However, it was said he planned to rework the video for U.S. and U.K. release. Before that project was underway, Sony cancelled all promotions for the album and videos.
