It was the albums 3rd single to released in 1987, and hit the number 1 spot in its 10th week in the US chart staying there for 1 week, it stayed in the top 10 for 6 weeks.

It hit number 3 in the charts in the UK.

The Way You Make Me Feel was Michael's 3rd number 1 single from the Bad album.

The Way You Make Me Feel was written by Michael, produced by Michael and Quincy Jones. Michael's mother Katherine Jackson asked Michael to write this song, as she wanted a song with a shuffling kind of rhythm.

This song is mostly remembered for being performed on the 1988 Grammy awards.

Michael also performed it at his 30th anniversary in Madison Square Gardens 2001 with Britney Spears playing Tatiana Thumbtzen's part.

He also performed it on his Bad tour, the Dangerous tour, and on his History tour.

The song was covered by Paul Anka in 2005 and by Australian girl duo Shakaya.

The music video to this track features Tatiana Thumbtzen, who was the first women to ever kiss Michael live on stage, but was soon fired as management thought she was taking advantage of Michael, she was replaced by Sheryl Crow.

La Toya Jackson also makes a cameo in the video as one of Tatiana's friends.
