P.Y.T (Pretty Young Things) was originally written by Greg Phillinganes a keyboardist discovered by Stevie Wonder, but Quincy Jones, Michael's producer wanted it more upbeat so it was re done by James Imgram, who got the credit for the track.

This track features Janet Jackson and La Toya Jackson's vocals in the background.

P.Y.T was released on September 19th 1983 from the Thriller album. It reached number 10 in the US chart and number 11 in the UK chart.

P.Y.T became Michael's 6th top 10 hit from his Thriller album.

This single was covered by the likes of Justin Guarini and Kanye West.

Will.I.Am also did a cover if it for the Thriller25 album, celebrating 25 years of Thriller.

Monica did a cover of P.Y.T with her song All Eyez On Me in 2002 where vocals were used that did not reach the original track Michael released. Michael personally hand delivered his original masters to Monica.
